I'm really happy with this one. It was one of those thoroughly enjoyable painting experiences where everything goes just right. I love the glow of light through the kiwi and the little dabs of light on the spoon that suggest a bit of decoration. It feels wrong to say this about my own painting, but in this case I feel like an innocent bystander. Did I do this? Dude.

The whole kiwi series has been just beautiful. I'm in love with Kiwi Train especially. Listen up, it's not at all wrong to feel good and congratulate yourself on a good work well done.....After all, that's why you paint, isn't it? To ride that wave, scream that scream, feel that thrill of success? I look at your work every day and I say that energy translates immediately, indeed. Job well done my friend. jb
Yes, what she said! (Jeanne Bauer) LOVING the kiwis, Carol! You have such a signature contemporary palette and brushwork, it's really a delight to the eyes.
your are right this one is exceptional !!
Carol;
I love the way you paint. Your crisp colors, volume and structure are inspiring. Please feel free to check out my new site.

I love this one too-it has a warmth and is a little gritty--in a good way!
Have to tell you-Jim and I worked all weekend on a still life box similar to yours-we cannibalized a garage light fixture stand--I'll have photos posted on it soon-thanks so much for the inspiration
Isn't it funny how we never feel right about liking our own work. Well, I say, break that rule too.
It's beautiful.
the real fun in painting is when u like what you did isn't it :D
ps: do u eat all the kiwis once you're done . LOL
Nice work indeed
