"One Last Goodbye" --- SOLD

This is my last rose attempt ... for now. My hero in the rose painting department is John Michael Carter. He is a master of them (among other things) and someday, when my boy is older, I will be able to take a workshop from him. Until then ...

This piece is all edges, which I think is what rose petals are all about. The edgy delicate way the leaves hold themselves as they hold this flower up, show her off....are you mother nature's love child? jb

Roses are difficult subjects but you've done a great job this week painting them! I hope you'll come back to them some time soon.

Yes. Roses, flowers, foliage...all of it. No clear sense of shape or form. Right now, I've got a garden full of poppies in full bloom. They are making me crazy with all that color. But who could resist?
