"Desert Rose" --- SOLD

I know I keep saying this, but roses are freakin' hard to paint! The next two are going to use a different light on the rose. The light I used on this one shined ... shone? ... right through the petals making the whole thing glow. While pretty, it made it even more challenging.

I, too, love your frank and friendly posts. It looks as though you do very well when you're "challenged", because all of these roses are fabulous!!

Yes, I agree with you the rose is always hard. And there are so many types. This is a very glowing one. Your use of color combinations make this such a warm painting and it works well.

The light and shadow of your vase is so pure and believable. And with such economy of brushstrokes! Beautiful!
