I'm sitting here in Hood River posting from a restaurant. I just showed my dinner companion (and artist), Patti, my painting for the day and she pointed out that I'm breaking the rules by having an even number of objects. I wonder if she feels ok dining with a rule-breaker?

    Carol, this is your Albuquerque friend Carol whom you have not yet met. Patti hasn't read your book which reflects your opinion about number of objects in a painting. Of course even numbers work. You said so.

    BTW, I have been painting longer than you, but learned much from your book I didn't know or more accurately wasn't doing correctly.
