I took the photo for this earlier this year at my friend Ruth's house. She has lots of animals and I keep meaning to go back and spend some time there, taking pictures. I had planned to do it this summer, but ... where has it gone?! My son starts school again next week. Crazy!
Apart from the highlights in the eyes you've added subtle glistening on the lower eyelids which gives the animal reality, even a touch of melancholy. It's great.
