This is my dear husband, checking his email in our San Francisco hotel lobby, next to the giant lamp. I really love the glow from the lamp. It makes me want to paint more interiors. Next time I'll spend more time in hotel lobbies!
Good news - I finally ported my first three books over to Magcloud! So now they are all (4) available again.
nice work! love the warm fuzzy glow and your husband's figure
ReplyDeleteLove this Carol and all the urban stuff you've been painting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteI like the lights very much!!
That furrowed brow. Probably on the iPad, answering endless questions about the web site. He's a good man... and a lovely painting.
ReplyDeleteI just love the atmosphere here. The warm glow makes for a relaxing effect.
ReplyDeleteHotel lobbies ARE great sketching venues. I trust you did this from a reference photo, rather than having paints on their furniture. Love your work more every time I see something new.
ReplyDeleteI'd know him anywhere :D
ReplyDeleteLove your interiors. The corner of the painting on the wall peeking out from behind the lampshade nicely balances the composition.
I second with Mary, I loved the sense of balance that painting created. I love your details with bold strokes.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are wonderful, so is the angle it is set on.
