Race to the Top

My buddy James Coulter posted today about a still life stand he got recently that is much cheaper than my tripod. He says he spent $80 on it. So if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to what I posted the other night, this could be it. I'll post a link on my other blog too.

  1. An Ironing Board works pretty good.

  2. Wow, I'm loving the colors on these apple paintings ... those fabulous warm red-oranges with the turquoise blues ... and the glint of light on the rim of the pitcher, and the reflection. Oh, and I almost missed that blue placemat, so subtle but adding a great angle ... BEAUTIFUL!

  5. These look cool. I found something similar for $50 on Amazon that works great and goes from 28" to 45" high. It's called "Over Bed Table" and was sold by EVA Medical Groups on Amazon. Pictures of it in my studio are on my blog JanasJournal.com on 6/27/2011 (find date or search for "adjustable still life table.") It's got chrome legs and a fake wood top and it goes up and down easily.

  6. Sorry Carol, I should have posted my comment about the table on your new beginnings blog! I don't have a copy of what I said or I'd move it over there. Oh well.

  8. Absolutely brilliant! We both are your big fans, we moaning and WOWing almost for every piece that u painting - Carol, your daily splashes are great! It's hard to choose, because one is better then another, but sometimes I just cant help myself and a-a-a-aa-aaaaa-ing, watching your works: so simple, so clean, so clear and so unclear "...damn, how she (=you) is doing this?!"
    Cheers,
    Vanessa
