This is my example painting for this week's
Daily Paintworks challenge: the
Paint Your Breakfast Challenge! I fibbed a little since I don't eat bread ... or fruit, actually. But I do eat plenty of eggs. In fact I wish I could have painted this morning's breakfast. It was called something like Phil's Cheeseburger Attack Omelet. Only in Texas. : )
Love this especially the egg yolk...
ReplyDeleteYou should have! I'd be drooling over something called a Cheeseburger Attack Omelet. Mmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you paint raw eggs. That's always been one of your most spectacular subjects - the texture of white and yolk, the exact hue of the liquid and its sense of thick liquidity, thick-and-thin, the slippery yolk, the fragile shells coming up through it. This is one of your best.
THIS is how I want to paint! I visit this site most days, and I always leave inspired.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Margaret
Are you on a keto diet then? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this one, Carol. Absolutely a favorite!! And welcome to Texas -- have fun!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Those are some gorgeous shapes and colours!
ReplyDeleteLove it Carol. Such a complicated subject ( subjects ) but beautiful color and simplicity. I just love your put it down and leave it strokes.
ReplyDeleteThe fork makes for a great compositional element. Beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteI really to proud to say your blog go to peak. I always welcomed your blog. By Regards Banner Printing
ReplyDeleteI love all the lightness in this palette. So fresh and light. It makes me think of spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat? all those orange wedges gone to waste.. And you don't eat bread? Philistine!
ReplyDeleteNice painting though.
Inspirational brushwork. Those eggshells so deft... you make it look effortless.
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteYour work blows me away. Do you ever do canine portrait commission? Take a look at my blog, you'll see my boy named Boone. Chocolate Labrador.
Kind regards,
Chris
