This painting is breathtaking--the shapes are so strong and the whole piece is colorful and glowing. Great use of everything you had to work with--amazing execution--I love it!!!
All the elements in the picture are working together in harmony. Ordered by size gives the impression of a family having a quiet and relaxing drink somewhere. Great job!
Hi Carol, I love your style and subjects and your painting skill. Since I took your workshop and saw that you just sat things on a chair because you were not in your own environment, I was wondering if sometime you could show your set-up in your studio and explain it. For instance, show each of the pieces used in your backgrounds. The two or three fabrics you are using and how they are held in place behind the objects, and how you attach lighting to your set-up. Do you have warm and cool lights at one time, or pick either and where to place them?
these are some awesome mugs! and you've caught them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing and powerful painting. The strong vertical shapes and the bouncing reflected colors are so well paired. Brilliant, yet again!

The blue one seems too tall) I've never seen such cups.

ReplyDeleteOne can never have a coffee cup that is too tall. What do they call it at Starbucks? Venti!
