Reflecting Love

Thank you all so incredibly much for your kind comments!! As usual I am overwhelmed by the love, support and virtual hugs. You all have wrapped me in a giant, cozy blanket and it is just what I needed.

Now I am off to Florida to teach all next week. One thing I didn't think about when we moved to Oregon was how many time zones I was away from the East coast, and how many hours it would take to get there! Oh man. So while I lurch across the country tomorrow, please enjoy my second to last before the fire painting. I'll post more faces soon.

  1. Who was it that said, "What you think of me is none of my business.?"
We artists should tatoo that on the inside of our eyelids. Huh?

  2. Carol, I just wanted to give you another hug after yesterday. I read all the wonderful comments and the encouragement from so many. Taking one of your workshops has changed my life!

I was still working at the time of the workshop, but you planted the seed that I should pursue painting...it was something I've thought about all my life, but never had the time. I've always done what I was "supposed" to do. I retired last year and timidly began to paint, and even (nervously) started a blog. It's the most fun thing I've ever done! Thank you so much for the enthusiasm about art that you've given to so many. You need that for yourself, too! So go ahead and paint those silly faces, and who know where it will take you? Just have fun! Hugs!

  4. You have been sowing love and generosity and now it's coming back.
I love this one Carol. Should I be on the lookout for a silver bowl replacement in my travels?

  11. I love your still life paintings and I'm also looking forward to more of your silly faces. They remind me of gesture drawings (with paint!)-not overworked and full of movement. :)

  14. I have returned to this gem time and again. Simply love everything about it, from the richness of the silver glow, to the saturation and depth in the grapes, and the feel. Very nice!
