Fading Fast

I don't usually make a big deal of my birthday, but this year my husband posted a Daily Paintworks challenge in my honor. Between that and Facebook, I've gotten a huge response and I just want to say - WOW, and thank you all so much!!! And in honor of me getting old, I have painted this old and rusting truck. : ) Here's hoping 33 is the year I stop getting carded.

  6. Love this painting!

One day you will thank the checkout clerks who card you for looking UNDER 40!! But you're a long way from that point!

Your birthday tribute paintings warm the hearts of all who follow you each day. Blessings!

  10. Snort-- good luck on not getting carded. I'm two months shy of 57 and got carded last week. That was bad enough... but then my 36 year old daughter dining with me DID NOT! lol!

  11. The blues in this painting are really beautiful. Love how it's on the fenders and the bumper and windshield. Love how the truck is in shadow except for the roof, and the area behind the truck is in sunlight. My son-in-law walked into the office as I was looking at this painting, and he said, "wow, she's good!". I agree!
