I went driving around Eugene the other day, stopping whenever I saw something cool in a neighborhood. I made lots of stops, walking around quite a bit and taking pictures before I kept on driving. It's one of my most favorite things to do. I got so lost in it I almost forgot to pick my son up from school! Anyway, I found this cute little scene ... somewhere.

I kind of cheated on this one. I didn't actually take the photo for this painting, but I did get permission to paint from it. My dad took it on his trip to Viet Nam a couple of years ago. I loved the light and so it's been in my "painting ideas" folder ever since.
