Saturday Market

sold. (9x12in.)

A market scene from San Francisco.

Meanwhile, I forgot to mention my show reception tonight at the Karin Clarke Gallery here in Eugene! I guess I figured most of you would be too far away to attend. At any rate, it was a lovely turnout. Among the visitors was the mayor of our town, Kitty Piercy, leading a tour of folks along with a gal with a video camera and another with a microphone. I was interviewed. My husband tells me I didn't say anything too embarrassing. He took some pictures.

California Colors

This is another scene from a the Sunol Wilderness area near Pleasanton, CA. I did this one from a photo, but I painted a lot in this area from life a few months ago. I realized however, that the colors should really be my interpretation, whether from life or a photo. I think I'll get better and better at harmonizing as I go.
