My mother-in-law taught me how to knit, and I've appreciated it ever since. It's one of those things I can sit and do for hours. Somehow it takes up just enough of the analytical side of my brain to let my creative brain wander uninhibited. My mother-in-law's name is Carol too. Carol Jane Marine, and I'm Carol Jean Marine. I'll add your name to my list. I've been keeping an informal list of people who married someone with the same first name as their own mother, sister, etc. It's quite a long list!
