On the Playground

I spent the last few days in Seattle, enjoying a little R&R with a buddy. I got a handful of photos and will paint from any that are worthy. If not, I'm going again in the summer for an official picture taking trip. I saw five gazillion front porches worth painting! Meanwhile, more apples.

This is a great example of how straight lines are more dynamic and expressive than curved lines. And, quite often, they explain what we perceive to be a curved contour better than curved lines do. Nicely done!

I'm with Celeste McCollough on this one, the play between straight and curved lines is what caught my attention. Nicely done.
