Disgruntled NYC

sold

I am learning that to get these tiny people to read like people, I must have more patience, and be willing to redo parts of them 4 or 5 times to get the scene right. I am also exercising more patience with the backgrounds. This is my favorite one yet! Don't they just read like crabby new yorkers?!

It's a beautiful painting. Color, composition and brushwork…but I can see the TMT factor :)

well, I don't know about "crabby"... I spent several days on Long Island about 5 years ago, and LOVED being there because the people were so good to me! But then, it was the dead of winter, no one was outdoors, as it was freezing cold! No matter, this painting is wonderful... expressive in so few brush-strokes... or the appearance of few anyway! Carol, you just keep pumping them out, and I am inspired, as always! Jill

Hi there, I have followed and admired your work for so long Carol. You are truly inspiring for me. However I am finding myself in a struggle work-wise / career-wise. Please visit my blog...I need advice so badly. -Misty
