I still had my bell peppers (from yesterday) when I painted this, and kept trying to work one or both into this composition. One thing kept repeating itself in my head (can't remember where I heard this, but I love it): if it isn't helping, take it out. So I stuck the peppers in the fridge so I could use them later, maybe.

Hi Carol, when you mentioned the peppers, I forgot for a moment that you were referring to bell peppers, and pictured one of the long, skinny ones impaled on the fork. I don't know if it would have worked either though.
I love all the blues in this painting.
Love that clear blue bowl and it's reflection . Interesting set up. I agree, less is more, another good saying.
