Cutting Up Things

sold

A recent student of mine came up with a stellar idea for drying/displaying for her paintings. She took two long pieces of molding, - the kind you'd get from a home improvement store - glued them together, painted them white, and screwed them to the wall. Thanks for letting me share this, Kate!

Fun painting Carol!! And love that shelving idea...If you are not handy- Ikea makes a reasonably priced shelving that is great- very similar! Love having a place to let paintings dry and also to look at them!!

I did a similar thing but for those near Ikea, they male a premade white or black version. Very inexpensive. I have rows of them in my studio. Low profile which is nice and easy to rotate

Perfect. I live in an old victorian house with plate railings around the dining room walls and in one of the bedrooms (for some reason?) and use them to display my daily paintings. Makes for a dazzling display!

no glue just screw :)
I got the boards as well from IKEA to display my daily paintings in my studios. And they are much cheaper in the U.S. than in Europe.

Your painting offers an interesting viewpoint ...
