Crowded Roses

sold

Every time I get home from a trip or workshop I feel like I'm floundering a bit for the first week or so. I don't remember what I was excited about before I left and I feel a bit directionless. So this time I decided to return to roses, since they are always a joy to paint. I had to paint a couple of duds first, which is usual for me after a break, but this one I like.

So soft with wonderful brush strokes! Wow, I sound like I know what I'm talking about. :) Seriously though very pretty Carol.

Thanks as always for your honesty! I love it too!

It's very beautiful. I love how a closeup of something can look almost abstract. Very nicely painted!

Hi Carol, I just found your blog by searching "painting blogs" in Google, yours was one of the first to come up!

I know exactly how you feel about losing direction sometimes, it happens to me a lot. It doesn't look like it's had an effect on your painting though, it's lovely :)
