I am still in Maine, teaching - just wanted to make sure you guys know I'm still alive! I also wanted to put the pressure on all my future kids (and spouses). Yesterday a husband of one of my kids delivered cocktails (specifically fresh basil gimlets!) to the whole class at the end of the day. Try to beat that - I dare you! : )

Oh my that sounds soo good
I love everything about this - the luminosity in the oranges, the reflective orange on the mug and the purple-y shadows - oh and did I mention the composition? (because I love that too, everything is arranged just so. . . )
You say "a" husband as opposed to "the" husband of one of your students...made me consider that this lady has an extra husband she keeps on hand as an emergency mixologist, and maybe that's the secret. :)
Whatever their domestic arrangement, I love this guy! (and this painting btw)
