Breezy Windows

sold

This is from another photo I took in San Francisco. I was walking down a little street where traffic wasn't allowed when I looked up and spotted these three windows with their awnings flapping in the breeze. My breath caught a little and then I took a dozen or so photos, catching the awnings in various states of ruffle. I just adore the light!

We've had lovely weather here in Eugene, so today I walked down to a nearby park to revive my lost plein air spirit. I don't know if it was the 15 visitors (and their dogs) or my rusty gears, but the painting was a wiper. I will try again soon.

Marvelous painting! I can feel the brisk wind off the bay when I look at the awnings whipping in the wind.

I particularly like how you activated the area beyond/within the window, creating a deeper sense of space, it is a unique take on fore, middle and background - You conveyed that subtle breeze motion and the moving light for sure. . . very nice!

Really interesting, love how the perspective is just right. I do feel as though I am looking up at the windows. Wonderful and creative.

I'm really struck by that little glow you're getting around your highest lights lately. It's the most subtle flick of the brush but it's huge! Love these newest San Fran ones.
