Red Explosion
sold
Before you go off and ask me what kind of flowers these are, well, they're fake. I find it doesn't really matter if all I'm doing is suggesting them with paint. : )
As promised I've put together another orange slice demo ArtByte. --> This one is much slower than the free one, and has a voice-over explaining what I'm doing as I do it. It also includes a shot of my palette, so you can see what I'm mixing. It is $10 and you will find it in the Daily Paintworks ArtByte store, along with a whole slew of other ArtBytes.

J'aime particulièrement les nuances de bleus utilisées pour le pot de ce joli bouquet... Vrai ou faux, c'est égal ! Il est beau!
Gros bisous.
Love the red and blue, Carol! I keep a stock of fake flowers and fruit around the house too, but the flowers work much better than the fake fruit! Good job!
The way the flowers are connected through one big shape is really beautiful! The red and blue are amazing as well, but I really love the shapes here. =)
I don't think it matters what kind of flowers they are, these to me say poppies, but then it's all in the eye of the beholder isn't it. Love your bold brush strokes throughout.....regards, ann.
Fake or not...it's nice. Like that b'ground gray.
Love this. Love the way you painted the flowers in such a simplistic way, very appealing. The vase is wonderful too.
Fake or real flowers...it's still a pretty painting!
Yeah! I love this philosophy!
Ooo, this is explosive and exciting!
Very bright colors!
Just fabulous! I, too, love the shapes.
The orange slice video is fantastic! So helpful and just at the right time. I'd been fighting with a painting of sunflowers for 3 days and when I bought and watched your video I saw the many spots where I'd gone wrong.
When you say they're "fake" flowers, do you mean you're painting from silk flowers or are you inventing them from your imagination?
Thanks you guys!
Jana, I didn't make up the flowers - they are silk. : )
