I got my book today, and I gotta say - it is awesome! The banding problem is absent, but otherwise the printing is just as good as Blurb, it's bigger, as you can see --> and it is cheaper! I call this a win-win. So I am officially recommending Magcloud. Give me a day to make a few tiny adjustments and then I'll post a link.

THanks Carol, I've noticed the same thing with Blurb, increased cost not matching service/quality, too big for their britches?? Anyway, thanks for sharing your explorations.

Jonny - the book is 8x8 inches. The images themselves are just under 6 inches.
