Here is my entry for
this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge. The reference photo is from a recent trip to Santa Cruz, CA. The sun was barely out, which made it a challenging photo. But what was really tough, honestly, were the foreshortened bodies! I had to measure like crazy. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
It seems an update Sorolla´s painting.
ReplyDeleteI like it so much!
Great job on the challenging foreshortening! Well done! Love the composition.
ReplyDeleteLove this. Beautifully shaped figures, and I love all the neutral with just bits of color that sing. I'm posting this on Pinterest!

ReplyDeleteWell heck! You should be happy with the outcome because it is awesome! Love how minimal you kept the brush work. So fresh!! Love how you added the sunlight and kept the lady on the right in the mix.
ReplyDeleteI'll say!....this is remarkable!
ReplyDeleteUne très jolie peinture... j'aime beaucoup votre touche et l'harmonie des couleurs. Attention aux coups de soleil !!...
