Red Plums, Blue Bottle

My husband is gone again, this time for 2 weeks! He is off to visit his birth-mother in Germany. Alas. And I am alone with my 7-yr-old again. Which, don't get me wrong, is wonderful, but as I mentioned before, it makes painting tough. Today I had just enough time to do this one.

No wonder the jar is upside-down: hubbie is out of town! Stunning painting. The brushstrokes are dreamy and the movement throughout is energizing (not to mention those gorgeous complementary colors).

Absence is supposed to make the heart grow fonder, they say.

Well, it appears that being crunched for time does nothing to lessen the wonderfulness of your painting. :)

Glad you could squeeze this one in. I love it, especially the blue bottle.

Are you saying this to make me feel like a SLACKER? :D I've just taken 2 1/2 weeks OFF, and am struggling to paint again, and you squeeze this one into a short amount of time!!!! Love, love, love the color play here, Carol, and the opaque and transparent objects.... Enjoy the boy! You will blink and he'll be out with his friends - for years!

Id like to say it gets easier as they get older, but with two in high school, painting time is still hard to find! Wonderful painting and enjoy your time, they grow up so....fast :)

Absolutely beautiful Carol. :) What more can I say? Your glass is fantastic. And school should be starting soon so maybe that will free up your time? I love/hate it when the kids go back. Love the painting time. Hate that the rugrats are not here to disrupt me every five minutes. :)
