Just Around the Corner

I posted a while ago about the trouble of holding a viewfinder steady while you're getting the drawing down, and how one solution is to buy a clamp that holds the viewfinder in place. Well, a friend of mine, Kelsey, has found and tested one that she raves about. It's from Accurasee, and you can buy it from Amazon. Here's a picture -->

What a great find with the viewfinder holder! Completely off topic, but I had a question about shipping. I purchased the archival clear bags, but I am worried they are going to stick to my paintings. How long do you wait before shipping a painting in them? And do you use anything special in the box around them? Thanks!

Thanks, ya'll!!

Alison, depending on how thick you paint, it will take more or less time for your paintings to dry. I paint pretty thin, and my auctions last 7 days, so by the time I ship my paintings are plenty dry enough. I highly recommend making sure though, as it would not be good to put your paintings in the bags before they're dry. I hope that helps! -Carol

Accurasee also has the Proportional Divider, which is helpful for measuring instead of using the end of your pencil.

You can use this from life, or photos.
