Island Cabin

I have not fallen off the face of the Earth! It may seem like it, I know, but I haven't. I spent all last week hangin' with my buds, painting on St. Simon's Island in Georgia. It was good to get out, good to paint something different, and so so good to get some quality girlfriend time. Above is the first painting I did, and below is our little "gaggle": (left to right) Kathy, Mary, me and my wine, Kelley and Laurel. More soon (I promise)!!

After Georgia I flew straight to Sedona where I am now in the middle of a 5-day workshop. Today we did some 10-minute paintings, and there was so much grumbling I almost had to make them do push-ups!

Just love how you painted this little cabin- wonderful job on capturing the charm and the soft light that came across it. Love the cropping and those darks really allow the lights to shine so pretty. A favorite!
SSI was such a great much needed amazing trip for us all! Miss you!!

I hope you're at least giving them water ;)

Your 'tabby' cottage turned out great.
Love the little tree stopping the eye from leaving the painting. Still scratching the bug bites here...... :D
