Forever ago I bought some fabric paint called Neopaque, and have just started to experiment with it. It's great stuff. Way better than just plain old acrylic paint (duh). You iron it afterwards which gets out all the kinks from the wet paint. I painted these little circle-dots yesterday and today found cherries were back in again! Yay!

This is soooo beautiful, Carol. I love the creamy interior of the cup, with those subtle shadings. And the depth of the shadow side of the cup! And the cherries partly in shadow and partly in light! I love it!
I want to move the cherries into the circles of the fabric! Very playful.

Great idea, paint your own patterned fabric and then paint the fabric in the still life. I think the possibilities are endless here. I am also enjoying what looks to be like areas of thicker paint versus thinner painted areas. I like this painting a lot!

This is so much fun Carol. This is all about circles - the cup, cherries and fabric. The scale of each is just right and composed so thoughtfully. Wow!
Can you describe the fabric? Is this a blank fabric that you painted on?
Is it a special type of fabric?
