Spring Captured

A big part of the reason I had so many wipers yesterday was because I went off and picked some random leaves from the backyard and they drooped after about 15 minutes. I tried two different types before I found these. These stayed blissfully put.

Des couleurs douces et lumineuses à la fois... Un très joli travail de lumière sur vos faïences...
Gros bisous et joyeuses Pâques.

I'm always amazed at your color combinations and how great they work. This is lovely. The shininess of the brown cup facinates me. Just wonderful.

I am loving those beautifully painted leaves! Just amazing brushwork and love the shifts in them. The cup and saucers are just the icing on the cake. Well done- major yay:)

So glad you didn't leave us all for too long! It's such a treat to see you show up in my email. Love the freshness of this one and the orange and leafy focal point. Paint when you feel like it. Have a great weekend.:)

You always amaze me with your designs and execution of brush strokes! There is so much lively movement in your painting, even in the areas that are a single "mass." Once again, this painting FEELS huge even in its small format. Nothing static, everything exciting and beautiful! Blows my mind.

I've had the same problem with bamboo leaves - they rolled up like scrolls almost instantly!
I love all the subtle color changes across that blue plate-green plate. Gorgeous color throughout too. Love it!

So happy to see you back. I knew you would miss us, hehe. This is such a wonderful painting. Love the blue cloth running across and the way you ran the plates off and of course that yummy orange cup with the leaves. Happy Easter to you!

So excited to have happened upon you and your art. An artist friend of mine had her home burn to the ground. I admire your strength and may you make beauty from ashes. Your work is amazing!
