At Home on Saturday

I spent half the day looking through blogs and websites of all the totally awesome loose house painters you guys suggested!! And am completely inspired. For some reason I felt my options were somewhat limited, but seeing all the great stuff these other people have done gives me all kinds of ideas. Tomorrow I am going to put together a list of my favorites to share since not all were left as comments. Meanwhile, thank you all SO much!!!

Carol, your options are never limited. There's a great big world out there with an infinite number of possibilities for subject matter. Do some still lifes in your style, but do the setups in the style of Richard Schmid or Daniel Keyes. Go out and do some quick plein air pieces, like one of that "tree" you like three streets over, or that run down barn you've seen just outside of town.

My favorite so far. Such a charming scene and you are so great at creating a feeling of sunlight.

Red break-lights never looked so good! And your titles always add so much. Sigh.

Carol,

I absolutely love your blog! Two painters I really admire are Douglas Fryer and David Shevlino. Check them out if you haven't already.

Along with Colin Page,Philip Frey and Connie Hayes are wonderful colorists and Maine painters.
I've taken a few workshops with Phil and he's really a great guy.
Looking forward to working with Colin in May. Anyway, looking forward to seeing other people's suggestions. It can be very inspiring. I think that is why so many people are drawn to you. I understand your rut though. We all hit those patches from time to time, but as you know it can also lead to new paths a discoveries to keep things fresh and vital. Good luck on your journey. Happy to follow it and share it with you.
