Cinderella

This red pitcher is a friend from my past. I found it at an antique store years ago and they wanted more than I was willing to pay. I struck a deal with my friend Jen who went halfsies with me. I painted it a couple of times and then she kept it at her house until she recently loaned it back. But the star of this painting is good ol' Cinderella who just walked in. But where's the prince?

The prince is hiding behind the red pitcher. Love the two reds together but apart. You are a master painter.

I know I've said this before, but I love the titles of your art. It really makes me see it in a whole other way. It was 80 something here in Texas today :)

Love this composition and your clever description.

So I guess those two prominent apples are the ugly stepsisters, who appear to be backing up stepmom with cautious jabs at Cinderella.
(Bet y'all can recommend some good reading for the wicked stepmother :)
Carol, your titles are indicative of a wonderful imagination - always fun to see your personality reflected in the subjects.

Have you always painted with a knife?

I love all your paintings! The prince is on his way - he's the coffee pot you're brewing on the stove! Sharon
