Chicken for Dinner

This is my entry in this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge - the Raw Meat Challenge. Pretty silly, I know, but I've been wanting to paint a chicken like this for a while. It was really fun.

And speaking of Daily Paintworks, check out my interview on the DPW blog!

Proof!! You can paint ANYTHING and make it look good. Even a raw chicken...probably nothing more unattractive than an ole picked bird...and yet, there she is looking all glam with her tomatoes;))

You are a delightful, amazing artist.

Hugs!

Nice job, Carol. This is very complex for such a small painting. I love how you cropped those dishes and utensils.

my first thought was 'must be a beautiful chicken ;) no way would she paint a raw chicken.'
I mean, seriously, who could paint a 'roaster' on a plate and make it beautiful?
I agree with Dreama. There is nothing you cannot paint beautifully.
