A Balanced Breakfast

I've been wanting to paint a little rock stack for a while. I've got dozens of them - stacks that is. I thought this one went perfectly with this new cup I found recently at Goodwill. There's something quite peaceful about it all.

This reminds me of a Goldsworthy sculpture. The colors are so terrific.

I was just thinking about your rock stacks yesterday, after seeing the pic on DPW's blog and if you ever thought of painting them. :D

Very balanced and lovely!

The reflections are done so beautifully, so subtle, yet that's where my eye went to first. Well done.jb

Beautiful colors, beautiful composition. Less angles this time, more rounds. I love seeing your still lifes, they are the most exciting, I've seen due to their simplicity. It's a pleasure to visit.
