I just posted a ton of info on my New Beginnings blog about my new tripod and shadowbox. It took a lot of work so you'd better check it out. I mean it. Oh, and happy 2012 (grumble grumble). : )

I LOVE this painting! The bowls are so "wooden" feeling and the background is the perfect backdrop. I especially like that little speck of light by the chair. Great composition and limited color scheme!

Nice warm painting for the New Year.
I like the way the window, chair and table give a sense of place. Thanks for the shadowbox story, wow.

Love this it reminds me of my grandma's kitchen where she made bread and rolls in the wooden bowls everyday! Timeless.

Hey looks like everyone skipped right to your other post about the new box... I want to say this painting is awesome! Love the mix of still life and interior. The light is fabulous! I've always liked this sort of scene and have several photos from old museum-type places of dishes/bottles etc on wooden tables in historical farm cottages, lit by window light, just like this. Although i bet you did this one from life, which is better of course!
Great job!!
btw: Happy New Year!
