Climbing Out

So, my mother looked at this and said "what are they?" I didn't even consider that the eggs might not be recognizable as such. But now that I think about it, I can see how it's much clearer when they're cracked open.

Here are some photos of my kids last week in San Antonio. The space was great, and besides keeping me out too late every night, my kids were pretty great too. : )

Here they mostly all are (1 left early). We laughed, we cried, we learned a lot and generally had a lot of fun!! I am still catching up on email from the last week and a half, so if you've written me, I thank you for your patience!

LOVE the tension and assymetrical balance you achieved in the beautiful painting. The subtle grays and the color scheme are to die for! I am always in awe of your talent and vision.

They look like eggs to me , love the pink background and your titles always crack me up. "Crack" egg humor, get it? LOL. Sorry

My husband asked what my orange slice was last night, which resulted in the painting getting wiped. I see eggs, but can also see how she would question it. I love the variation of colors in the shadows.

This painting is stunning! Maybe the split second of ambiguity allows our eyes to focus on the gorgeous colors and brushwork longer. I just adore it!

The workshop was wonderful, Carol! I fell in love with all the ladies. What a great group, and what a great teacher you are! As I told a friend, we had some serious fun!

Damn nice tiny painting! I only wish you were more ambitious.
