A Jarring Accident

We spent most of the day painting ... the house. The living room is now a lovely yellow, and the kitchen terra cotta red. Is it a coincidence the colors are exactly the same as in the last house? Then this evening we had some friends over for dinner. This is my excuse for not having added any links yet to my blog roll. I am going to add a few tonight and more tomorrow.

Your jar and its reflection is amazing, Carol! Love it! I like the simplicity of the orange slice, too.

Fabulous job on that jar, Carol! And so happy to hear you're making your house 'your' home! Mellow yellow and rich red... sounds warm and wonderful. Don't fret about the BLOG ROLL.... xoxo

My favorite artists have convinced me through their work that certain "objects" are worthy of becoming iconic. John Twacthmans depiction of a simple weed has made me revere every weed I "meet." Your characterization of common kitchen jars has cause the same reaction; I never meet one I don't like. Now I can see that some are happy, some are sad, some are strong, and others are shy. I now LOVE my jars and have a difficult time departing with them for recycling!! Thank you, Carol! Lovely painting and color scheme!

Another wonderful painting, Carol. Nice warm colors in your new home to keep you warm in a colder climate.

I love the way you paint glass. The shadows and reflections in this painting are wonderful. When I see your paintings I smile.
