Clear Preference

As you can see the sunflower has a clear preference for the cup with dots, and the pig is a bit put out.
Thank you all so much for the encouragement about yesterday's glass! In fact, thank you all, in general, for ALL the support and encouragement you give me. Honestly, it has gotten me through the tough times when I forget how to paint, and the times when my creativity fails me and I have no new ideas. Your comments and support mean more to me than I can say and I am eternally grateful!!

I'm going to add this to my list of reasons to love Carol Marine. Number one, the put out pig is AWESOME. Love it. :) Number two, you are equally AWESOME. Number three. . . I think I've said awesome enough, but I love your blog and look forward to every single post. Thank you!!

Oh, oh, and I was going to tell you that I think what you and David are doing with DPW is so cool.*

*Please note that I refrained from saying AWESOME a third time. Wait a minute. . . D-oh!

*facepalm*

This is BRILLIANT--it makes me laugh! The roles of the various "players" are so well suggested by your design and by your color/value choices! I love it when your exceptional painting skills combine with your sense of humor. If I could be reincarnated, I'm not sure if I would want to be the sporty spotted cup, or the sullen pig. Or the authoritative sunflower. Oh, I guess I would want to be CAROL MARINE, the creator cum laude artist and playwright!

Agree with Crystal that "put out pig" is awesome. I am looking at your brushwork and it is gorgeous all over that piggy- but the value shifts and subtle changes are beyond fabulous. Love it!
Also agree that DPW is a wonderful site and the place to be:) Y'all did good!! Thanks for all the hard work.

This is a great painting, but I have not said anything new because I feel all of your paintings are great. I am so proud to have two them hanging on the wall in my studio.

Pigscrimination! I admit I like your vessels more than the figurines. Sometimes at the Salvation Army I think, "carol would like that!'

Got to love that put out pig. Real
attitude going on.

Piggy looks totally bewildered, like, how could the flower possibly prefer that ridiculous cup to moi? LOVE it!

oh yeah, tI can see the snarky look on that pig's face. He should just get over it and bask in the glow of being incredibly well painted. Temperature, value, brushwork extraordinaire! \
probably all lost on him.... ;)
