Yellow Scattered - SOLD

Lately I've switched pretty exclusively to the Ampersand gessoboards. I personally LOVE the smooth surface (though it took some getting used to and does NOT work well with bristle brushes, in case you want to try them out). I've got a bunch of Raymar panels in varying sizes that I'd like to replace, so I am offering them for half what I got them for. I don't want to mess with shipping them, so I'm hoping I'll have some takers at my party tomorrow. They're great panels, especially for starting out. I used them for years, and was always very happy with both the panels and the service at Raymar.

Darn, I would have taken some Raymar panels, but understand the shipping issue. Have a fun party, tomorrow. Gloria

I only use the Gessobords, too! I love, love, love the smooth surface, and the brushes that work so well with it! So sorry to miss your party - I hope you have a blast!

Lovely arrangement. I love how the edge of the plate is distorted by seeing it through the jar.

Aren't the prepared gesso boards terribly slippery? Do you use them right out of the package or "rough em up" with more gesso??

Love scattered yellow- wonderful array of flowers. Water in the jar is perfect with them around it. Wish I could be at your party-will be amazing display of gorgeous art for sure. Would also buy up the Raymar panels- hope they sell, but if not, I am interested and can pay the shipping, etc...Take care and have a blast! Great idea!

Beautiful Carol! Love the reflections in the jar and the yellow peeping through the background.
The party will be great fun - wish I lived closer!

Thanks everyone!

Cindy, yes the gessoboards are very much smoother than canvas. They take some getting used to, but now I hate to use anything else. I use them straight out of the package.

I'll be in Sedona for your workshop in May (yay!) and if you have panels there, I will buy them. I was going to buy from Raymar anyway. Save a ton not having to ship to Alaska. 9 days! Can't wait!!

Carol, I switched to Ampersand Gessobords last year - I love the smooth surface and how it accepts lively brushwork. I've also found the boards are easy to cut with a table saw, so I can get an array of sizes/shapes to match my inspiration. I do occasionally use the Raymar panels, too, when I want a more traditional woven styled texture to my surface. Wish I could have come to the studio party - glad to hear it went so well!
