Plum Line - SOLD

Sorry I missed posting yesterday - I am helping my folks with a building project for a few days, and the internet is spotty here. I am currently in a tent near the beach, hiding. For some reason, as soon as the sun goes down at the night the mosquitoes come out in droves. Ack! So even though I am covered from head to toe to OFF! the only way to survive is in the tent. Thinking of the plums I painted recently helps me forget the itching.

The plums are great, the spoon is awesome, but what really gets me it's the cup handle. So smooth and shiny! How do you do it? It reminds me of a licked hard candy. (wait,is that gross?) Love the blues!
BTW, good luck with the mosquitoes...

Mosquitoes...difficult enemy!!! Your work is beautiful as always. I love the angles in your painting. You're a very good and talented painter Carol.

It is so real. Instinctively I had intended to grab the handle mugs.

Blues and oranges - my favourite colour combinations in your works! I hope the mosquitoes disappear eventually. Have you tried a special candle/plug-in to keep them away? I use a plug-in repellent when we're travelling and it works a dream.

These blue cups are wonderful, especially with the nice color reflected in them. Terrific plums and I love the title.

Boy, do I love this one--maybe it's the orange/blue combo--just gorgeous.

LOL! I've totally been there before. When we first started going to Naples FL, we stayed at a campground in the Everglades. After a certain time at night, we were sort of trapped in our tent. I can remember huddling over our little laptop too!

Nice painting!
My husband and I are considering camping in Grayton Beach area, but we haven't camped in Florida before... Is Florida a bad place to camp? We love the outdoors but don't want to be infested with mosquitos!

Hope you get some relief from the mosquitos soon! Tent near the beach sounds nice though - it's snowing here!
Lovely piece...as usual.

I don't comment very much, but visit very often...for quite a while now. You have such perfection in picking out just the right colors to use, especially in your reflections. It's uncanny.

I like how pits cavities mimic the spoon shape or vice-versa. I'm easily entertained I guess.
