Another oft-painted subject of mine - stacks - getting so much glory the group has acquired some groupies. I was a little worried the pear wouldn't read, but seeing it again here I think it does. Yeah?
Carol, I really like the lack of hard highlights on the fruit this time. Makes them softer, less like the glass of the ceramics. Really a beautiful painting.
Carol, Yes, I think the pear reads great. I like that you separated them and turned them at different angles/perspectives. You just nail those different intervals so instinctively. And love your cups:) Stacks rule!

Stacks rule!
Hmmm.. I did think the pear slices were baby bananas at first, but whatever they are, they work. And the periwinkle wall really rocks!
Your brush strokes are fabulous. You should call your book - 'STROKES of a GENIUS' ! btw I love stacks :)
Very beautiful Painting, go on with your original Painting
How do you do it? Every time you nail it, and you make it seem so simple!
I'm developing a happy habit of "returning" to look for favorites among your paintings! There is something about this composition that I love.
