We recently bought a new set of knives. They are all metal and cut beautifully! My husband, in an effort to keep them in pristine condition (anal) insists they be washed and put away directly after each use. To his dismay, he keeps finding them in my studio, abandoned, after an orange or apple has been sliced to bits.

LOL! My eyes went directly to the knife because I think I have the same one! Washed and put away immediately? That feeling goes away after 2 weeks!
HaHa, that made me laugh! I love your simple oranges(not mentally simple!) but without all the membranes. gloria
yes, (shhh, don't tell him but I even put some of them in the dishwasher now, echhh, I know, bad for them) but hey, those orange slices are wonderful!
Carol, Don't you guys dare throw away the black handle knives.. Keep them for props. You paint them so beautifully!
I like that your signature is engraved on the knife :) Beautiful work as always .
that is one gorgeous knife!!!!
Beautiful colors and composition, not to mention the perfectly sliced orange! My compliments to you... and the knife!
Oh yeah, sounds just like my husband. It's a must. I set a aside a set just for myself, now I'm not ever in trouble. Phew! Love the turquoise streak!
So an artist type is married to an engineering type. I can tell you from experience that neither can help it or change. Our brains just work differently.
I love the oranges against the blue and gray. Lovely!
LOL. Great story! Love the signature in the knife, and the turquoise pop of color. And the fruit is absolutely, colorfully luscious.
Those orange variations, though incredibly gorgeous, dont quite have the same allure as that delightfully painted knife for me!
Its the subtle hint of blue gleaming off the earthy metal tone that really excites me with this
