"Not High Enough" - SOLD

If you thought apples were short (see yesterday's post), well, plums are worse off. These plums got together and tried to see inside the cup (having never seen the inside of a cup before). But alas, it wasn't enough. Maybe a bigger pile ...

Did you forget to ventilate your new studio?

I really enjoy your little paintings, Carol! And your titles are so, so clever!

It strikes me that we artists retain our childlike wonder of life and anthropomorphize things with ease. Reading your descriptions of the apples and plums trying to see things they've never seen seems quite normal to me, but I know a lot of people who would raise their eyebrows at such "silliness" - in their view. Excellent paintings, Carol, with great, fun stories.
