Now this couple really is walking off lunch. The reference photo for this painting is from the same hike in Germany as yesterday's. I loved the colors on the path and the patches of light throughout. I've been really happy with this diversion from still life, but tomorrow I'm back to it.

I've loved following your series of figures, Carol. Such fantastic light. Even here...at night! Sure hope you'll revisit this subject again at some point. Just great.
you really seem to be branching out. It is a wonderful thing to witness. Kudos to you..
I follow your blog for time, and I like very much your paintings. They are very artistic, I am charmed with the fluency of the brushstroke.
I am a ceramist, and also pinto oil and water-color
He had not written to you before, because I do not speak well the Englishman. Now I am using a translator.
I can feel the coolness of the forest and the dappled light is so well done. I really appreciate this new direction your painting is taking you. The grayed light with that spot of bright light at the end of the path is superb. Beautiful. You never cease to inspire.
Marvelleous ! I like your paintings and it's a pleasure to look your démo ! Thank you for this ! Sorry my english is not very good but for me it was too important to tell you are a very plaisant painter.
Happy weekend
absolutely love your work.. i discovered you recently through browsing a blog (daily painter i think?) -- and i ordered your book from being inspired through your paintings.. you have an amazing eye for color-- love your expressive brush strokes, etc.

I have just found your blog via an artist friend - what a great painting style you have! I just love your lush use of paint.
Well done!, What can I clearly say is that you paint yourself!!. your hair collor!, your skine tone, your eyes, your T-Shirt's color, all of which I can find in this painting! your painting is stylish as you are.
