"Figtastic" - SOLD

Several of you have emailed me lately asking about the true meaning behind these last few paintings. My son started Kindergarten 2 weeks ago and it's been tough transition. But, I am happy to report, Jacob and school are getting along very well, and ... we are surviving too. : ) This painting could be him and his new teacher, who, incidentally is the new authority in our house: "Ms. Ramos says you're not supposed to color like that."
I've had some troubles with my email recently - if you've emailed me and not heard back, please try again. Some got kicked back, but I fixed the problem.

Hi Carol! Love this...what reds are you using?

I love the colors you've been using lately. Are you getting better and better? I think so.

Thanks!
Sunny

Fine little fig finds a new, big, red, persona in his life and boldly goes. How sweet! Transitions feel strange but improve us. Love that soft edgelessness of the mug by the fig!!!

your baby starting school... a monumental experience ( just wait til it's college... and that will seem like it happens in just a flash !) love the painting... and I love the book of 100 small paintings that I ordered awhile back... love it !
