I snapped a shot of this cool car in Santa Fe. It's kind of funny how we ended up there. We have a GPS and on the way up to Colorado recently, Nuvi (our GPS) deemed it unesessary to go through Santa Fe. On the way back however, for some reason we were suddenly there (on a long haul day when we meant to drive 11 hours). So, as it was around 5 in the afternoon, we stopped for the night, had Vermicelli at Saigon Cafe (awesome!), saw some galleries the next morning, and made it home a day late. All well worth it.

Yet another smashing example of the extent of your talent! With awesome, bold/decisive paintings like yours, it can be easy to get caught up in the painting part and forget about the drawing part. And your drawing abilities are spot on - always very well done. Which leads me to thinking how interesting it would be to see some drawings... : )
I'm enjoying your series of automotive pictures. Are you familiar with the work of Ron Morrison?

What a nice piece! I stumbled upon your blog and it's funny, because I was just thinking of painting some collections of old hot wheels cars, so your subject matter caught my eye. I like the pleasing colors you paint in.
OH WOW!!! This one is GREAT!! The red and yellow against all that grey - the sharp and soft edges - just wonderful!
This is my favorite of your recent car and truck paintings!
this is delightful - your painting style & this vehicle really work well together - your brush strokes give it real life!

I'm also enjoying your auto paintings and agree that you can paint anything! I don't know how you do it!!!
This is a Toyota Land Cruiser about 1977. My hubby has one your favorite color, a greenish blue. It's a really beautiful design and vehicle.
I love this Toyota. My Dad had one that was Cherry Red and a white roof. I never had a chance to ride in one but they look like a lot of fun. Nice colors on it. Looks great.
