I went out with my buddy Randi the other day, driving around Bastrop (the small town we're near), looking for something cool to paint. When I saw this little tractor I said "that's it!" It was behind a tall fence so we went to ask if we could move inside and of course had the common misunderstanding that we actually wanted to paint ON the tractor. Once clear we proceeded to paint. It was gawd-awful hot, but we persevered.

I haven't forgotten what you said about plein air painting---that you like to paint vignettes, rather than vistas. This vignette is so interesting. I like the shadows of other objects suggested in the background. Very nice.

Sweet tractor, the abstract in this peice is great!
I once told a farmer that I wanted to paint his barn and he said,"What for I just had it painted". I'm glad I am not the only one this happens too.
