"On the Hunt" - SOLD

I keep trying to paint folds. For this one I squinted really hard and tried to think of it as just shapes and values, not folds. It really helped get the values right.

And you succeeded in rendering incredible folds! I like very much the composition, the curves and diagonals, the red "splashes" of the apples.

This made me think of Cezanne as soon as I saw it!

I love the colours in the "white" of the cloth as well

This cloth is fantastic! Very inspiring - I'd like to do this. Actually, I NEED to do this. Thanks for the reminder to look at shapes not things......and to SQUINT!

It Works! Best fabric yet.
Laughed picturing you squinting away, but i now remember a professor teaching us that trick. It is useful for finding "edges" on objects without defined areas.
