I got this beautiful yellow cup from my buddy, James. I've been waiting to work it into a painting for a while. I struggled with the colors for the scene, but I'm really happy with this combination.
Tomorrow I'm off for a 4-day workshop in Newburyport, MA. I'll post when I can!

I love your paintings - to me they are crisp, bright, and beautiful. Now that I know, I will begin visiting your blog often. Thank you.
Gorgeous!
Hi Carol! Boy you're a busy girl! Beautiful, beautious paintings that you did in Germany, followed by some still life stunners!!!! Your work is groundbreaking, and I see your influence sprouting up everywhere in today's painters. A testament to your talent & dedication to a career of daily painting that you've built so perfectly!
Beautiful colors! Have a great time in Newburyport...it's such a pretty town.
The color combination, the light, the shadows, the glorious freshness... a truly beautiful little painting.
You chose wonderfully with this warm and glowing palette.

Carol, when you produce such amazingly subtle colour combos, I always try to figure out why they work. I think it's because spelling out what you're doing with colour helps me to see it and understand it better in my own work.
Here, we've got a pink that's really a light purple (look at the shadow), we've got lovely warm and cool olive greens, and we've got a range of mouth-watering oranges, from yellowish through to reddish...eureka! They're all secondaries!---but in an utterly fresh and brilliant disguise.
Thank you for always helping me see the colours anew.

You are in for a treat!
Newburyport is great - I kayaked w/the seals there last year at this time, if you go to a little state park across from the town area you can see them from the shore -I love it there why didn't I take the workshop!!!???
Of course I love your painting too -
You really are an exceptional colorist. Love these yummy, sunny colours. Makes my heart sing.
Beautiful! I love what you did with the colors gorgeous ♥
The complements in this one are just so exquisite!!
What a beautiful painting. I love the colors.
I LOVE this color combo! I think the yellow/pink/orange with dab of olive was very hot in the 60s... I remember seeing it on wallpaper and all kinds of things. It looks FRESH and BRAND new in your painting.
