"Yolkless" - SOLD

This might be my most favorite egg painting yet ... except without the yolks. I adore all the stuff that goes on in the shells when they are in shadow.
Today will be the last day of my class in Sedona. My kids have cooperated as you would expect kids to - some whining & complaining - but in the end they fall into line. Honestly though, if you ask them they'd say they keep me in line too. I told them to count their brush strokes for one exercise and then forgot to myself when I did the demo. Woops! But they were right there to remind me, thank goodness. : ) Here are some of my kids looking ... well, awful serious:

This should be your favorite egg piece. The colors of the shells are great!

Oooh, those colors inside the shells are marvelous, especially the greens in the top right hand one - lovely!

I love it when you paint egg shells! They are always full of color and interesting shapes. One day I will give shells a try.

I know your "kids" are having a blast. Wish I was there, too!!

Oooh, I would fail the counting exercise - I am forever adding 'ish' to every number I put down - don't ask -

Is there a certain number of brushstrokes to aim for in a painting?

What's the reasoning behind the "count the brushstrokes" exercise? Is fewer supposed to be better?

You find special in the ordinary. I love this.
