"Dresselbach"

I apolgize for the poor image (glare). I will repost soon. The sun finally came out today, but I am a bit behind with posting, so here is one more overcast painting first. A "bach" is a creek, and this one is on the property here. I had to wear rubber boots to get to this spot, as the ground was super soggy. So soggy in fact I was actually standing in several inches of water. And the water was so cold I was afraid I might lose my feet after standing here for an hour! But, alas, I am ok.

Such a gorgeous painting! Great color choices, and your wonderful"floating" brushstrokes add a fantastic feeling of space and light. Beautifully done!

Looks great - I am enjoying the straight, thinner brushstrokes - remember how you wrote of 'bling' after your workshop you took? I was wondering if you could remark more on that and if you are incorporating it into your process now?

Hi Carol, Welcome to the world of plein air painting. Sometimes we have to give up our indoor air conditioning, for outdoor cold feet. You have been christened. I love the painting. Break out the bottle of champagne. Maija

it's 'blingy' and I love it. You've managed to make the array and shapes of all those greens work very well.
